Our team

Our team was brought together by one project - development of the application BezDezinfa.cz which was created as a response to the activities of X (former Twitter) accounts spreading disinformation, propaganda, lies and manipulative content that supports the interests of Russia. 

The application was designed to block or hide these harmful Czech or Slovak accounts that were carefully identified by at least two different independent fact-checkers and the evidence was collected and saved. The application was free and easy to use as users could run the blocking / hiding on just one click.

Due to the rapid changes in the X (Twitter)  API conditions we needed to put the app on hold. However our developers are working hard to bring up another solution that would replace the original idea and would be more robust and independent of the Twitter platform. 

During its operation, 2280 Twitter users used our application, 1639 dangerous accounts were identified, and thanks to this we prevented the spread of billions of impressions.

People that stay behind the development of the BezDezinfa application and all the associated activities do it all for free, with the aim of helping the common goal - the fight against the ever-growing enemy in the information war.

What we do

We don't focus only on the app development, but also spreading the media literacy on social networks, analyzing, fact-checking, clarifying false statements or articles, growing the community on Discord and participating or organizing meetings, demonstrations and similar events of our own or our friendly organizations. Our activities, in addition to our regular agenda, were for example organization of Drakiáda for Czech and Ukrainian children, co-organization of the first Czech-Ukrainian march in Brno (together with NAFO), helping to uncover the case of fake websites and advertisements in the Slovak presidential campaign, or helping with the solution of chain emails spread by local administration. We also performed very powerful anti-bot action in May 2023, when we identified over 9000 bots that were attacking mainly the pro-Western political and media accounts and helped our users to block them in bulk.
